SmartCorners at RTR2026: When User Experience Meets Energy Efficiency
The SmartCorners team joined the session “User centric energy optimised EV”—and the atmosphere could not have been more aligned with the project’s mission. The session brought together three sister projects with different approaches but one shared ambition: designing electric vehicles control strategies that take the end-use in the center of attention.
Walter Lukesch from AVL DiTest, our coordinator, opened the SmartCorners story with an accessible introduction to the project’s vision. The presentation sparked curiosity, especially around how user requirements, comfort expectations, and energy efficiency targets can interact – and sometimes challenge each other.
The Q&A felt like a lively roundtable: audience members debated profitability, real‑world user acceptance, and how to ensure innovation stays meaningful. Looking forward to continuing the exchange, especially with our sister projects MINDED and EFFEREST, that took the stage with us.
You can find the recording of the session HERE and our presentation on Zenodo. Thanks a lot to all participants and organizers; it’s been a great event and we are looking forward to RTR in 2027.
