Networking Time

Past Thursday, the team from TU Ilmenau welcomed colleagues from Elaphe Propulsion Technologies Ltd. and Miguel Dhaens from HeronSports in Ilmenau for a SmartCorners networking meeting.

During a two days workshop they elaborated ways and possible research topics in which all partners are highly interested and willing to strengthen the collaboration between each other. Starting point was a presentation and ride demonstration of the AUDI etron vehicle, which has been built up within the EVC1000 Project as a case study on integrated motion control approaches based on in-wheel machines and X-by-Wire chassis actuators. Afterwards, we took the opportunity to visit our testing facilities, which are used for our own research as well as other public projects like HighScape, EM-TECH project or HiPE. At a joint dinner, we continued the discussions and exchanged personal insights and impressions too. 

Summarized, the workshop was very fruitful and inspiring. Our team is already looking forward to future meetings of this kind. It was a pleasure for us to have you here.
